This was a branding project undertaken as part of my graphic design course. Sadly, the shop is imaginary. The logo was the starting point, its design incorporates knitting stitch shapes as leaves of the tree, a muted natural palette with a touch of zest, and a mottled texture and offset layout to suggest a handmade aesthetic. The project built on the logo by applying it to a range of stationery, bags, tags and pattern leaflets.

Summer didn’t really happen on Mull last year, so I only got to sit in one of these new chairs for a few minutes. If I had had the chance to sit here for an hour or two in the sunshine with a chilled G& T balancing on the armrest listening to the birdsong, I may have had pause to get thinking about my plans to launch Biscuit Press Design a little sooner.

Better late than never, the time has come to get going.
