Biscuit Press Design

Biscuit Press Design is a new venture by Dawn Reade, bringing together her graphic design, printmaking and art work.  Dawn and her husband, Joe own Island Bakery Organics Ltd , an organic and eco-friendly biscuit bakery in Tobermory on The Isle of Mull.

So that’s the biscuit connection.Dawn & Cookie Monster

Dawn has always enjoyed printmaking, with her favourite media being linocut & screenprint. Following an Intensive Foundation course in Graphic Design, Dawn has also been building up her computer design skills. Until now most of her design work has been just for fun, or to help out friends.

Whether Dawn’s work is art or design, most of it is designed for print, and so it goes to press! Hence Biscuit Press Design.

We are a small SEN school in Birmingham and heard of Dawn through a personal contact. I approached her and asked if she would work on a new school prospectus. Dawn was more than happy to oblige, she listened to what we wanted to get across. Information was sent over to her, within a few days she had produced a prospectus we were really happy with.

A few years on we approached Dawn again to update the content. She was again so approachable and accommodating. Within two days the update version was emailed over to us. We asked for a couple of amendments which were actioned within the hour! I cannot recommend Dawn highly enough, she is fantastic at what she does, she listens, responds and communicates really effectively to ensure the whole experience from start to finish is a positive experience.

I have run my own business for 15 years and in that time I have used several different graphic designers to produce simple business stationery and advertising material and have always found the process far too time consuming, expensive and unsatisfactory!
That completely changed when I started working with Dawn. She was the first designer to sit me down and truly find out about my business ethos, and with her clever questions I was able to explain exactly what I wanted. The process was enjoyable, efficient and cost-effective. I’m very happy with all our artwork and we receive complimentary comments from clients all the time.
