This week many of the world’s students are donning their robes and celebrating their graduations. I graduated from the University of Edinburgh more years ago than I care to mention, but more recently I completed an intensive foundation course in graphic design at The Graphic Design School (TGDS). I took 2 years to complete the course on a part time basis, but I learned such a lot.
The course taught me to use Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, underpinned by a solid grounding in the principles of good design. There are still a gazillion things to learn, but every project teaches me something new.
